Penn Medicine | Multispecialty Outpatient Care Facility
Penn Medicine’s new multispecialty outpatient care facility expands access to comprehensive care in the Philadelphia suburbs, bringing diagnostics, treatment, surgery, imaging, and wellness-focused amenities together in a flexible, sustainable campus designed for future growth.
Penn Medicine selected an undeveloped suburban site to create a new 150,000 SF outpatient care facility that brings a wide range of services closer to the communities it serves. The four-story building is planned to include multispecialty flexible exam clinics, an ambulatory surgery center, infusion, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, women’s imaging, Mohs procedures, cardio diagnostics, physical therapy, pharmacy, lab, cafe, and education space.
Array is part of a curated team working through an Integrated Project Delivery model built around shared principles of Culture, Optimization, Respect, and Efficiency, known as CORE. This collaborative approach supports early alignment among the owner, design team, construction manager, engineers, and specialty consultants, creating a stronger foundation for innovation, quality, and schedule performance.
Flexibility is central to the planning strategy. Provider clinics are modularly designed so individual service lines can shift over time based on utilization and growth. The project also incorporates opportunities for off-site prefabrication to improve quality, reduce construction time, and support long-term adaptability as outpatient care delivery continues to evolve.
Beyond clinical performance, the facility is designed to support patients, staff, and the surrounding community. Structured parking for 750 cars improves access, while landscape design, walking paths, gardens, and a native plant healing garden create opportunities for wellness and respite. Designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, the project pairs operational efficiency with environmentally conscious design.
